Reinders, who’s previously starred on Broadway in ‘Wicked’ and ‘Gypsy’, described the show as “if ‘The Book of Mormon’ and ‘Spamalot’ and 42nd St. all had a baby.”
Mann is a terrific filmmaker but he’s missed the mark here. The overly long film lacks any sort of substance or subtlety.
