Inside the Actors Studio, hosted by James Lipton, will celebrate reaching 250 episodes with a special 2-hour show on Wednesday, May 29th at 7p.m.
Lipton sits down for brand new interviews with former guests including Actors Studio alumnus Bradley Cooper, Robert DeNiro, Jennifer Lopez, Christopher Walken, Barbara Walters, Dave Chappelle, Jay Leno, Conan O’Brien, Ellen Burstyn and Spike Lee.
“This is the episode toward which we’ve been building for nearly nineteen years! It’s not a summing up because we’re still busily shooting episodes with guests like Liam Neeson, Hugh Jackman and Tina Fey” said Lipton. “It’s a Celebration, featuring a glittering parade of our most memorable moments, chosen – on air – by a galaxy of favorite former guests and some of our most renowned fans from every walk of life in talks with me, and by our viewers in America and around the world. In short, it’s two hours of laughter, tears and surprises, leading to the moment this multitude of witnesses has chosen as the most thrilling “Inside” memory of all…so far.”
Viewers will see highlights of Lipton’s famous Bernard Pivot questionnaire (complete with curse words), as well as a retrospective of hilarious moments including Chris Rock’s expulsion from Bible school, Seth McFarland as his “Family Guy” alter-ego Peter Griffin, Will Smith’s assessment as to whether or not Lipton can “get jiggy with it” and Will Ferrell’s impersonation of Mr. Lipton himself. The show will also look back on some of Lipton’s most revealing interviews including Dave Chappelle’s mysterious trip to Africa, Angelina Jolie’s sensuality, Barbra Streisand’s relationship with her mother and Drew Barrymore’s childhood substance abuse.
Bravo is letting viewers in on the action with a poll on www.BravoTV.com where fans can vote for their favorite episode of the series. The contenders have been narrowed down to Steven Spielberg, Meryl Streep, Robin Williams, Dave Chapelle, and George Clooney. James Lipton will announce the winner of the poll during the 250th episode. To vote by May 9 at 6 pm, visit
