FOX has a new limited-series that’s got a terrific cast and interesting premise. It’s called Wayward Pines and stars Matt Dillon, Carla Gugino, Melissa Leo, Toby Jones, Terrance Howard, Juliette Lewis, Tim Griffin and Shannyn Sossamon.
The show, whose pilot was directed by M. Night Shyamalan, is about a Secret Service agent (Dillon) goes to Wayward Pines, Idaho, in search of two federal agents who have gone missing. He soon finds out that he may never get out of the town alive.
Dillon and Gugino were at Comic-Con where they sat in on some roundtable interviews to talk about the show. I’ve always liked them both so it was a real treat to get to chat with them.
In the video, they talk about Comic-Con and how they love the community of it all. Gugino says she’s obsessed with acting, so she understands all the love the crowds at the convention are having with the films and pop culture.
Dillon then talks about how Wayward Pines is his first venture into television. “It’s different,” he says. For one thing, he knows the blueprint of a film beforehand. Not so much with TV. But, he loves the collaboration that the show has.
Wayward Pines is coming soon to FOX.
