After the news that both Leap of Faith and How To Succeed are set to close, here’s a bit of good news: Both The Columnist and Gore Vidal’s The Best Man have announced that their Broadway runs will be extended. And, Second Stage’s production of Lonely, I’m Not has just announced they will as well.
Manhattan Theatre Club’s The Columnist, starring Tony Nominee John Lithgow, will now run through Sunday, July 1st. The show also stars Drama Desk Award nominee Margaret Colin, four-time Tony Award winner Boyd Gaines and Tony Award nominee Stephen Kunken.
Gore Vidal’s The Best Man – I just read the play and it’s fantastic – will now run through Sunday, July 22nd. The show has been nominated for a 2012 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play as well as a Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play nomination for James Earl Jones.
Finally, Second Stage Theatre’s Lonely, I’m Not starring Topher Grace and Olivia Thrilby extends one week through June 3rd.
