Edward Norton received his third acting Oscar nomination for his role in Birdman. While it seems like J.K. Simmons has that category all sown up for his role in Whiplash, Norton’s role as an egotistic stage actor in the fantastical film is his best performance in years.
A week after his nomination was announced, Norton participated in a two hour Q&A session presented by the Screen Actors Guild Foundation moderated by Jenelle Riley of Variety. Norton tends to be a reserved person in interviews, so it’s actually very rare to hear him speak about his career at length as he does in this video.
