Today would have been Carrie Fisher‘s 62nd birthday. The beloved Star Wars star passed away in 2016, leaving millions of broken-hearted fans of Princess Leia who have seen her perform in Star Wars films over forty years. Fisher will appear on screen in her final role in next year’s Star Wars: Episode IX, which will make use of unused footage from Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
With that in mind, you can celebrate the life and legacy of Fisher by seeing where it all began — Fisher’s audition for the original Star Wars. While Fisher is speaking material largely cut from the film and is not sporting her famous Leia hairstyle, she still has the commanding presence that made Leia such an iconic character.
