Happy birthday, Harold Prince! The 21-time Tony Award winner (yes, winner… where does he keep them all?) turns 90 years old today, and his work as a theater director still inspires countless theater fans. In fact, his direction of The Phantom of the Opera — both the West End and Broadway productions — is seen by thousands of theatergoers each year.
To promote his latest production — Prince of Broadway, the self-reflective review that played on Broadway this past Fall — Prince did an interview for the SAG-AFTRA Foundation and BroadwayWorld hosted by Richard Ridge of “Backstage with Richard Ridge!” This nearly 90-minute conversation features Prince reflecting on his decades of theater production.
